Customer Service

Probably the most under-rated function of a website is Customer Service, and perhaps the most important aspect of customer service is the provision of information.

The speed and flexibility of the internet make the website pre-eminent for making information available to your existing and potential future customers.

The telling advantage

You have probably already discovered that most people who call on the telephone tend to ask the same questions, and you have probably also discovered how expensive it is to provide the answers, whether or not you operate a customer service desk.

The information provided via your website can be carefully thought out to avoid possible misunderstandings and will be in a form that the enquirer can use in his or her editable documents such as email or an internal memo.

Any revisions that become necessary can be made in hours instead of weeks or months as is the case with distributed printed material. There is virtually no limit to the amount of detailed information that can be made instantly available. In many cases, the high cost of printed material can be virtually eliminated.

Your website will be working for you and your customers night and day every day including Christmas and the New Year. For SME's, the web is the only way that this level of service can be provided.

What about your customers?

Could your customers (and therefore your business) benefit from such a facility?

Will your competitors offer this facility to your customers before you do?

The Limeyards Stables B&B experience

When Limeyards Stables B&B was operating, most new guests discovered it via the internet. However, all guests were able to access information about the accommodation, the locality, and places to visit or places to eat. The site enabled them to view and print carefully prepared custom maps and directions to ease their journey, and they could book a table at a nearby restaurant, as well as a taxi to take them back to their accommodation.

The large amount of information available through the site could not be made available to guests by any other means than the World Wide Web. In fact the re-designed brochure became redundant.

For many guests, the web site was the primary factor affecting their decision to stay, even if they had discovered Limeyards Stables by other means.
